Sara Sutton
Sara Sutton came to Birmingham from North Alabama in 2002 to dance on scholarship at Birmingham-Southern College. Growing up, she was involved with various areas of fine and performing arts like art, dance, theater, and music as well as being strongly involved with community activities. She studied dance at River City Performing Arts, The School of Fine Arts, and the Huntsville Ballet Company. At Birmingham-Southern, she studied under the renowned Mira Popovich, Ruth Henry, and Teri Weksler in the areas of classical ballet, jazz technique, modern dance, choreography, pedagogy, anatomy/kinesiology, and dance history. After suffering a career altering injury, Sara focused her experience and education to teach young aspiring dancers.
